Participated in 'intelligent response technology development project to Illegal drone' consortium

HURA participates in the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) consortium, which is an intelligent response technology development project to illegal drone (2021-2025) promoted by the 'Ministry of Science and ICT', 'Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy' and the National Police Agency.

The project is aimed at developing an integrated system for countering terrorism and harm in public facilities using the universal drones. Four public research institutes, including the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI), 17 anti-drone companies, and demand companies participated in the consortium.

KAERI Consortium plans to develop integrated solutions that can respond from discovery to post-processing, such as detection, identification, analysis, incapacitation, and accident investigation of illegal drones. And it plans to demonstrate them at nuclear facilities and airports.

HURA is planning to develop and demonstrate ground-based illegal drone detection and identification technology using AI technology in this project.
